AIDS Project Los Angeles
2007

A grant to support the Global Forum on MSM and HIV's 2-day satellite meeting, entitled "The Invisible Men: Gay Men and other MSM in the Global HIV/AIDS Epidemic," which was held prior to the 2008 International AIDS Conference in Mexico City. AIDS Project Los Angeles is the Secretariat for the Global Forum on MSM & HIV. The Global Forum is comprised of leadership from around the world, with expertise in HIV/AIDS and vested in jointly applying lessons learned that will generate evidence based approaches in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The meeting is to foster opportunities for information exchange and better linkages and collaborations among researchers, human rights organizations, community-based organizations, donors and policy makers focused on how the lack of global HIV seroprevalence data and the under emphasis on social science research on MSM drives the dearth of HIV prevention, treatment and care resources targeting MSM needs.
