A grant to train approximately 60 male and female sex workers on basic knowledge about laws and human rights in relation to sex work; equip them with information about HIV/AIDS and other related health issues; and encourage the formation of peer vigilance networks covering five highly frequented sex worker areas in Pattaya. The experiences and information shared by the sex workers involved in this project will be used in the future to sensitize health professionals and other related actors in order to improve access to health care for sex workers in Pattaya and, eventually, across Thailand.
