Mirembe Project
2005

Funded the participation of two Thai activists in “Acting on Rights: The Women and HIV/AIDS Leadership Retreat” held on July 6–8, 2005. The goal of this event was to lay the groundwork for a collaborative initiative to advance gender equity and human rights in the global fight against HIV/AIDS. The initiative built bridges between the HIV/AIDS, women’s rights, and human rights communities toward coordinating advocacy, sharing information, and promoting global-local dialogue.
