Conference: Women and HIV/AIDS in Central and Eastern Europe

Co-funded by ASTRA and OSI, the “Women and HIV/AIDS in Central and Eastern Europe” conference gathered a network of nongovernmental organizations working on reproductive sexual rights to foster the sharing of information among key stakeholders. The goal of the conference was to assemble a diverse community of sexual rights, reproductive health, and HIV/AIDS advocates with government officials to develop a dialogue on issues surrounding women’s health and AIDS. Attendees discussed topics related to the new face of HIV/AIDS focusing on women, the response to HIV/AIDS in the Central and Eastern European region, and policy advocacy.
