Meeting: Sex Work Policy

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania
Event Date: July 22, 2005 - July 24, 2005

This SHARP-supported conference in Vilnius, Lithuania, allowed participants to share experiences and perspectives, provide updates on progress, and exchange resources and best-practice information. Fourteen people from the seven OSI-funded sex work policy projects and ten additional experts came together to discuss sex worker needs and to share program innovations and achievements. Participants challenged conceptual assumptions and approaches toward sex worker health and rights, and methods for evaluating and documenting program outcomes and impact. Outcomes of the meeting included a list of recommended actions to be taken at the project, national and regional, and national and international levels.
