Robert Espinoza

Robert Espinoza is Director of Research and Communications at Funders for Lesbian and Gay Issues, an organization that seeks equality and rights for LGBT individuals and communities by mobilizing philanthropic resources that advance racial, economic, and gender justice.

Prior to working with Funders for Lesbian and Gay Issues, Espinoza researched and authored policy briefs on prisoner reentry for Family Justice; served as the Director of Communications for the Service Employees International Union Local 105; was part of the founding communications department for the Gill Foundation, the nation’s largest funder of LGBT issues; and was one of six panel members on the OUT Fund, an activist-advised, national grantmaking panel of the New York-based Funding Exchange.

Joo-Hyun Kang

Joo-Hyun Kang is Director of Programs at the Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice. Her work with the foundation has helped promote social, racial, and economic justice in the United States and internationally through fundraising and grantmaking.

Prior to her work at Astraea, Kang served as Executive Director of the Audre Lorde Project, which provides support and advocates for the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, two-spirit, and transgender people of color in New York City.
