OSI’s Roma Health Project and Media Program, in collaboration with Medienhilfe, announce grant recipients of the Roma Media Health Co-Production Fund. Out of 13 applications, the fund is awarding grants for 6 co-production projects in 4 countries, including:

  • Roma World Foundation & BNTV, Bulgaria
  • TV Roma, MDC and others, Bulgaria
  • Radio Cerenja & Radio Stip, Macedonia
  • TV Tumende & TV Parang, Romania
  • Radio Tocak & A-Media, Serbia
  • RTV Nisava & A-Media, Serbia

The fund was created to support Roma and non-Roma collaborative media products on Roma health issues for television and radio mediums. The aim of the co-productions is to strengthen cooperation between Roma and mainstream media, to have a positive impact on attitudes towards Roma inclusion and on Roma access to health care, and to reinforce the media’s informative role on social inclusion and health.
