Funds are for activities to promote Roma women’s health in Zalau, Romania. Activities will be implemented in 5 Roma communities, including: 1. assessment of health needs of Roma women; 2. monitoring cases of discrimination against Roma women in access to health care; 3. educating the communities and Roma men in particular, about the health needs and rights of Roma women; 4. educating medical professionals, social workers, insurance companies, and the local health inspectorate about the rights and needs of Roma women; and 5. improving contacts between family doctors and specialized physicians and Roma women.
