Increasing the Engagement of Roma Communities and Advocates on Public Health Issues Affecting Roma Health

Funds are to support the harm reduction work of Civil Association RISEN in Roma communities in Presov, Slovakia. Specific activities include: monitoring the health state of clients of harm reduction activities, providing testing services and basic medical treatment, distributing condoms and clean medical materials for prevention of disease transmission, counseling on prevention of infectious diseases, social counseling. RISEN will also work to build the capacity of Roma and non-Roma groups interested in working in harm reduction targeting the Roma population.
