2007 Asmet Elezovski, Sebihana Skenderovska To research and identify specific health care needs of Roma women in Macedonia and promote their equal access to health services. Research will be conducted in the cities of Kumanovo, Prilep, Kriva Palanka and Bitola. The output of the research will be used to advocate for promoting better health and social inclusion of Roma women, as well as a tool for health education and awareness raising among the Roma communities and the majority population. The project will promote programs to facilitate Roma women’s access to preventive health care and reduce the consequences of delayed and inappropriate medical interventions. Additionally, staff will monitor relevant health policy developments to inform advocacy on relevant socio-economic policies affecting Roma women in Macedonia. Skopje, Macedonia | $23,600 | |
