Funds are for activities that promote Romani women's health in Kjustendil, Bulgaria. The project will launch with a study to identify the specific needs of Roma women and the barriers they encounter in fully accessing their rights to health. From this research, the organization will develop strategies for improving access to health care for Roma women, including the establishment of a “Roma Women’s Action Group.” The Group will provide health-related information, act as an early-alert system for problems in the Roma community, organize preventive care drives, and provide training and employment for 4 Roma women who will afterwards act as health mediators.
