Grantee List

Grantees
LARGO
2007

A grant to provide health services and health mediation to vulnerable Roma women in the Kjustendil region of Bulgaria. These activities will be combined with efforts to improve the health culture of Roma women and adolescents with particular focus on raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and TB. Also, the project will broaden the work for policy change, by establishing and strengthening a regional network of four Roma NGOs working to improve the health conditions and social status of Roma women. In addition, the project will produce a “best practices” model on health mediation to disseminate within the network of Roma NGOs.
