2006

Funds are for activities that promote Romani women’s health in Bulgaria. A needs assessment will be conducted in several Bulgarian localities on Roma women’s health, to be used as an advocacy tool for adapting the provision of health services to specific needs of Roma women. Following the needs assessment, two workshops and a national round table will be organized in order to disseminate the findings and to formulate intervention strategies. These events will bring together national and local government representatives, health and social policy experts and Roma NGOs. In addition, the grant will support the creation of a website that will serve as a discussion forum on issues related to Roma women’s health.
