Fostering the Availability of Better Data and Evidence Concerning Roma Health

Grantee List

Grantees
AMOC Foundation
2007

The grant is to support the involvement of 8 Roma activists at the conference “Social Inclusion and Health: Crossing the Borders,” organized by the Correlation Network in Sofia (Bulgaria), September 27-29, 2007. The conference will focus on social exclusion and limited access to health and social services for vulnerable groups. The grant ensures that Roma activists have a voice to advocate for the health needs of Roma communities. The grant will support a panel discussion on access to health care for Roma, addressing topics such as harm reduction outreach models for Roma communities, Romani women’s health, and using the media as an advocacy tool on Roma health.
