Grantee List

Grantees
Media Center Ltd.
2007

A grant to support education of media professionals and the general public to Roma health and other Roma community issues in Serbia. The project will continue fostering a proactive approach in investigating and reporting about the Roma Decade and the Serbian Roma community. Media Center Ltd. will provide resources and information to media professionals through developing a segment of its web portal dedicated exclusively to Roma health issues. Also, it will conduct research on relevant content in the Serbian media dedicated to Roma issues, and will provide analysis and policy documents for civil society groups on how to improve their communication with the media. As a continuation of its previously implemented Roma health project, the Center will monitor media coverage of Roma health issues, and will select a media organization to receive an Award for Media Coverage of Roma Health Issues. The project is co-funded with OSI's Public Health Media program.
