Global HIV/AIDS CommitmentsBy 2005 - Treat three million people living with HIV/AIDS in developing and middle-income countries with antiretroviral drugs (WHO and UNAIDS)
- Reduce the percentage of young people (aged 15–24) who are HIV-infected by 25% in the most affected countries (Millennium Development Goal indicator included in the Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS [DoC])
- Reduce the percentage of HIV-infected infants born to HIV-infected mothers by 20% (DoC)
- Reach overall target of annual expenditure on HIV/AIDS of 7–10 million dollars in low- and middle-income countries (DoC)
By 2010 - Reduce globally the percentage of young people (aged 15–24) by 25% who are HIV-infected (UN Millennium Development Goal indicator included in DoC)
- Reduce the percentage of HIV-infected infants born to HIV-infected mothers by 50% (DoC)
