Date:
December 13, 2005

On December 13, 2005, Public Health Watch’s Tuberculosis Monitoring Project sponsored a roundtable in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to invite discussion and debate on the government’s National Tuberculosis Program (NTP). The event was co-hosted by the Daily Star newspaper and BRAC, an NGO that plays a key role in implementation of NTP and is Public Health Watch’s partner in Bangladesh.

More than 55 participants attended the meeting, including government officials, donor agencies, NGOs, and academics. In spring 2006, Public Health Watch and BRAC will publish a report that assesses TB policy in Bangladesh.
