Global Alliance for TB Drug Development
The Global Alliance for TB Drug Development is a public-private partnership driven to halt the rise and reverse the spread of TB by developing new, faster-acting, and affordable TB medicines.
Global Drug Facility
The Global Drug Facility (GDF) is an innovative mechanism to expand access to and availability of existing high-quality TB drugs to facilitate global DOTS expansion. Established by Stop TB, the GDF provides procurement and financing services to qualified applicants and therefore allows governments and non-governmental organizations to improve the coverage and quality of global TB control through the acquisition of quality TB drugs.
Global Fund for AIDS, TB and Malaria
The Global Fund for AIDS, TB and Malaria (GFATM) was established in 2001 in response to United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan's "Call to Action." In April 2002 the Fund announced its first grants to national programs seeking to better prevent and treat these three diseases. To date GFATM has committed US$3 billion in 128 countries to support aggressive interventions against AIDS, TB and malaria.
Stop TB Partnership
Stop TB is a global movement to accelerate social and political action to stop the spread of tuberculosis around the world. It comprises more than 120 public, international, philanthropic, and nongovernmental organizations committed to stop TB. The partnership secretariat is hosted by WHO and supports a wide range of advocacy and coordination activities worldwide in the fight against tuberculosis.
