MISBAH / Positive Women Network
2006

MISBAH was founded in 2005 by a group of activists with the aim of improving access to health care and improving the quality of life for vulnerable populations including injection drug users and sex workers. MISBAH is in the process of acquiring legal status as an organization of people living with HIV/AIDS. In the meantime, it is partnering with the Positive Women Network.

Positive Women Network was founded in 1998. The Network is working to identify weaknesses in the current HIV infrastructure and find empowering, sustainable and inclusive solutions to strengthen health and support services for women. PNW+ has expertise in monitoring with respect to the social and cultural factors that influence women’s access to health care.

MISBAH will implement community-led monitoring and advocacy activities in 13 states in India.
