Asociación Nacional de Personas positivas "Vida Nueva" (New Life, National Salvadoran Association of Positive People) / Asociación Cristiana de Jóvenes El Salvador
2006

Asociación Nacional de Personas Positivas "Vida Nueva" was founded in 2003 by a group of people living with HIV, health care professionals, and social scientists who are committed to improving the quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS in El Salvador. The members of the organization provide psychosocial support to people living with HIV and their families, promote access to treatment, lead efforts to combat stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS and promote enhanced integration of people living with HIV/AIDS into Salvadorian society. Vida Nueva is in the process of acquiring legal status as an official non-governmental organization.

Asociación Cristiana de Jóvenes (ACJ-YMCA-El Salvador) will serve as a partner organization to Vida Nueva until their legal registration has been confirmed. ACJ-YMCA was founded in 1990 as part of the worldwide network of YMCA organizations (Alianza Mundial de YMCAs) and of the Latin-American Alliance of Christian Youth Associations (Alianza Latinoamericana de ACJs). The organization's mission is to work with youth to promote positive lifestyles based on principles of social justice and democratic governance.

Asociación Nacional de Personas Positivas "Vida Nueva" will implement community-led monitoring and advocacy activities in El Salvador.
