Drug Treatment, HIV, and the Challenge of Reform

On the occasion of the 49th session of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs, the Open Society Institute presented a briefing on the intersection of drug treatment and HIV. The event focused on the use of effective drug treatment methodologies in the context of injection-related HIV, and the integration of drug treatment and other harm reduction services.

The event included speakers from OSI, Kazan State University (Russia), the Macfarlane Burnet Institute for Medical Research and Public Health (Australia), and Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre (Australia). Please see the attached announcement for further details.
