Experts’ Estimates of Coverage Needed for Interventions to Control HIV Transmission Among Injecting Drug Users

This OSI-sponsored paper surveys 19 HIV-prevention experts on which services are most essential in preventing HIV among intravenous drug users, and on the critical level of coverage of these programs. The paper discusses which services can be prioritized in settings with limited resources, and presents an agenda for future research on coverage.
