The Myths and Truths About Cyberwarfare

Location: OSI-New York
Event Date: January 21, 2009

Open Society Fellow Evgeny Morozov led a discussion on the myths and truths about cyberwarfare. The event examined cyberwarfare from technological, legal, and political perspectives, focusing on the cyberattacks on Estonia in 2007 and the cyber-dimensions of the conflicts in South Ossetia and Gaza.

Leonard Benardo, director of the Open Society Fellowship program, introduced the event.

For background on this topic, please see "Marching Off to Cyberwar" by Evgeny Morozov, in the December 4, 2008, issue of the Economist.
