About

It is a non-profit organization for democratic changes in education, committed to development of responsible alternatives to existing policies through public dialogue and civic participation. The main goals of the Institute are: 1. to raise public awareness, mobilize public support for the education reform in the country; 2. to strengthen national capacity for improved planning and management in education; 3. democratization of the education system through creation of efficient legal framework; 4. to support policy analyses and research, comparative studies. The IEPPM has gained experience in implementing local, as well as regional and international projects at both secondary and higher education levels.

OSI Affiliation

IEPPM was established in 2003 as a spin-off of the Education Megaproject of the Open Society - Georgia Foundation. It is an independent institute focusing on education policy in the Caucasus Region. It is a member of the Network of Education Policy Centers. This network is facilitated by the Education Support Program (ESP), Open Society Institute Budapest.
