About

GESO is founded by German - Bosnian-Herzegovina Society (D.BH.G) as associated non-profit organisation with overall goals to foster civil society and socio-cultural development in South Eastern Europe, focused on inter-cultural, inter-ethnic, inter-regional and international understanding and tolerance in former Yugoslavia. GESO was established in 1999. Joint GESO/D.BH.G infrastructure consists of two offices in Germany (Dortmund, Nürnberg) and two offices in BiH (Travnik and Banja Luka). GESO staff has had long time experience in regional planning and projects development. GESO/ D.BH.G promotes the goals of sustainable development of the economy and peace process that will contribute to the permanent solution of crises within the region and therefore, to a democratic and civil structure of society as well.
