Human Rights for Harm Reduction

A continuation of the Human Rights for Harm Reduction program established in 2007. Activities include organizing a meeting of NGOs interested in substitution therapy service provision to promote the idea as well as educate representatives on new regulations specific to NGOs; documenting drug testing in schools and engaging in public debates on the subject; publishing best practices related to drug policy and harm reduction; organizing a series of public debates on drug policy in three major Polish cities (debates will include participants form varied backgrounds, including scientists, law enforcement officials, NGOs representatives, journalists and students); advocacy activities to scale up OST programs in Poland as well as public education and advocacy around lower threshold substitution; continued legal aid work though the University of Warsaw Law Faculty partnership.
