Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Program

Guidelines

The Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Program seeks to ameliorate the problem of child abuse in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. This issue is of critical importance in a region where economic hardship, the collapse of safety nets, and ignorance of the problem have contributed to the endangerment of children.

The Program helped launch Child Abuse and Neglect in Eastern Europe (http://www.canee.net), an interactive center for professionals working in the field of child abuse and neglect prevention and treatment in the region.
