Democracy Coalition Project
The Democracy Coalition Project is a nongovernmental organization that conducts research and advocacy relating to democracy promotion policies at the national, regional and global levels. Begun in June 2001 as an initiative of the Open Society Institute, the Democracy Coalition Project relies on an international network of civil society organizations, scholars, foreign policy experts and politicians committed to democracy promotion as an essential element of international peace and human development.

Eurasia Foundation
The Eurasia Foundation is a privately managed grant-making and operating organization dedicated to funding programs that build democratic and free market institutions in the twelve New Independent States (NIS) of the former Soviet Union.

International Foundation for Election Systems
By providing expert technical assistance in all areas of election administration and election management, the International Foundation for Election Systems (IFES) works to encourage national and international democracy. Since 1987, IFES has supplied world governments with election observation and analysis and has developed into one of the world's leading centers of election information and resources. In addition to election monitoring, IFES seeks to bolster democracy by developing programs that strengthen rule of law, good governance and civil society.

International Republican Institute
The International Republican Institute supports the growth of political and economic freedom, good governance and human rights around the world by educating people, parties and governments on the values and practices of democracy.

National Democratic Institute for International Affairs
The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) is a nonprofit organization working to strengthen and expand democracy worldwide. Calling on a global network of volunteer experts, NDI provides practical assistance to civic and political leaders advancing democratic values, practices and institutions. NDI works with democrats in every region of the world to build political and civic organizations, safeguard elections, and to promote citizen participation, openness and accountability in government.

ReliefWeb
ReliefWeb is an electronic clearinghouse for those needing timely information on humanitarian emergencies and natural disasters – designed specifically to help the humanitarian community improve its response to emergencies.

United Nations
The United Nations is central to global efforts to solve problems that challenge humanity. Cooperating in this effort are more than 30 affiliated organizations, known together as the UN system; these organizations work to promote respect for human rights, protect the environment, fight disease, and reduce poverty.

United States Agency for International Development
USAID is an independent federal government agency that receives overall foreign policy guidance from the Secretary of State. It supports long-term and equitable economic growth and advances U.S. foreign policy objectives by supporting economic growth, agriculture, and trade; global health; and, democracy, conflict prevention, and humanitarian assistance.
