Edil Baisalov is the leader of the Coalition for Civil Society and Democracy, a coalition of Kyrgyz NGOs. One of Kyrgyzstan's best-known advocates for civil society, Baisalov has been closely following the developments before and after former Kyrgyz president Akaev’s removal from power.
