Afghanistan: Limits and Lessons for International Peacekeeping

Pierre Schori

Pierre Schori is a distinguished Swedish diplomat and politician. He has served as Sweden's ambassador the United Nations; special representative of the UN Secretary General in Cote d'Ivoire; minister for International Development Cooperation, Migration, and Asylum Policy; and deputy foreign minister. Until September 2009, he was the director-general of the Madrid-based think tank FRIDE.

Sharbanou Tadjbakhsh

Sharbanou Tadjbakhsh is the director of the master's concentration on human security at the Master's of Public Affairs of Sciences Po, as well as a research associate with the International Peace Research Institute, Norway. She has worked with UNDP across Central Asia and Eastern Europe and continues to provide consultations to the National Human Development Report tems. She has served as professor at a number of prestigious institutions in the US, India, Russia, and Tajikistan.
