Combating Human Trafficking in Asia: A Strategy for Action

Supported by Asia Society, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and the Open Society Institute, this daylong symposium brought together advocates and policy experts from the United States and Asia to address the global implications of the entrenched problem of sex and labor trafficking in Asia.

The symposium explored policy options, urgent political action, and critical partnerships that need to be forged to combat human trafficking. Participants examined innovative local and global actions as well as assess emerging international legislation. Panelists discussed the range of leadership opportunities for the United States to shape international public opinion towards a sustainable end to trafficking.
