Nyaunglebin District: SPDC Operations along the Shwegyin River, and the Villagers' Response
A Report from the Field
"Reports from the Field" are drawn from situation reports submitted by Karen Human Rights Group researchers. Similar reports are published regularly to highlight political situations in the Karen region of Burma. This report combines text and photos to describe events from September to November 2005, when the SPDC violated the ceasefire by sending a large Army column to attack and occupy a Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) base in Nyaunglebin District.
