Workforce and Economic Development Program

The program provides grants to organizations that are: helping to improve the effectiveness of the public workforce system in Baltimore, which focuses public spending on programs that transition low-income residents into careers; increasing the awareness of employment barriers, policy options and practice solutions among employers, policymakers and workforce providers; and demonstrating that access to customized training, high quality jobs, and comprehensive support services lead to greater economic opportunities and outcomes for low-income residents.
