Audacious Thinking: Summer 2010

Date:
Summer 2010
Source:
Open Society Foundations

This issue of Audacious Thinking focuses on OSI-Baltimore’s work to create opportunity for the 9,000 people who return to Baltimore from prison each year. A new feature, Audacious Priority, delves into the issue of school absence.

The newsletter includes Robin Wood’s reflections on visiting the Maryland Correctional Training Center in Hagerstown, the Justice Policy Institute’s new report on the Baltimore Detention Center’s policies and practices, and profiles of current fellow Rhonda Elsey-Jones, OSI-Baltimore board member Otis Rolley, and OSI-Baltimore investors Neal Friedlander and Virginia Adams. Two grantees, Group Ministries and Civic Works, are also featured.
