Michael Franklin

Program Assistant
Baltimore Community Fellowships

Michael Franklin is the program assistant for the Baltimore Community Fellowships and Initiatives Program at OSI-Baltimore. A recent graduate of the University of Delaware, Franklin studied psychology and english while fostering a passion for human rights activism.

During his undergraduate career, he became an integral member of the Department of Residence Life in designing a curriculum for students based on citizenship, diversity education, and action planning. He also had advisory and leadership roles in campus organizations such as the Minority Student Network, the Stop the Hate Campaign, and Haven, an association devoted to advocacy of the LGBT population. These interests led Franklin to continue to advocate for underrepresented groups on a local level, returning to his hometown of Baltimore and joining the staff of OSI.
