EurasiaNet and Revenue Watch Institute

OSI and the Revenue Watch Institute are seeking a Web Consultant with experience in online publishing to help produce the EurasiaNet.org and RevenueWatch.org web sites. Working under the supervision of EurasiaNet’s Website Data Manager and RWI’s Internet Director, respectively, the Web Consultant will produce and update web pages, create new web materials, and participate as needed in conversations regarding web page layout and design. The Web Consultant’s estimated hours will be between 5 and 10 hours per week for each web site, including occasional weekend hours as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Format stories and articles for posting on EurasiaNet and RevenueWatch, including updating country page resources.
  • Technical tasks on an as-needed basis in connection with the introduction of EurasiaNet and Revenue Watch special features and publications.
  • Copyediting and some writing of web and other communications materials.

Requirements

  • Experience producing and publishing content for a regularly updated web site.
  • Understanding of current Internet and web design tools such as HTML, DHTML, XML, PHP, Flash as well as Dreamweaver and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Some experience in any of communications, journalism or international policy
  • Some knowledge of Russian and/or Arabic preferred.
